An alien invasion game: stop the abductions before the mothership comes
In Apocalypse Sandbox the camera opens on the aliens' landing site: their ship comes down over open ground and the goal is to stop the abductions before the mothership arrives. It is a free 3D browser game, so you can jump in without installing anything.

How the invasion unfolds
The landing ship sets down over open ground, never inside a building or a plant. Its crew walks down the ramp and escorts people up it. After four abductions it calls the mothership, pulls its ramp in, climbs and turns hunter: it circles you high up and fires pairs of homing missiles that follow you round corners and over roofs, and two more hunter ships come with it.
On the ground the crew never come close. They circle about 40 metres out, always moving, and shoot short green bolts you can see fly. If you do nothing, the mothership comes and destroys everything.
Guard the nuclear plants
Two nuclear power plants stand at opposite corners of the town. If the ships blow them up, the meltdown devastates the area and turns every human into an alien. Their terminals also refill your energy while they stand.
Fight back as the hero
Play mode drops you in as the hero, with a plasma rifle that charges into a mega beam, a minigun, a railgun that calls lightning, a katana, a jetpack and more. A stealth flight called GHOST joins thirty seconds in and picks off aliens on the ground.
Other hostile forces can be sent from the panel: Terminators, the HAVOC heavy gunner, a cyber T-Rex, a cyber Yeti and more. See the guide to bosses and enemies.
