Most natural disaster games hand you a round and ask you to survive it. Apocalypse Sandbox turns that round: you choose the disaster, when it starts and what it hits, and a life-size 3D town full of people, cars and buildings reacts to it. It is free, it runs in the browser and there is nothing to install.

Cause the disaster, then watch the town respond

Each event has its own tile in the Disasters panel, so you can start one, stack several or press Doomsday and let them run in sequence. People flee and look for shelters, new arrivals keep the streets busy, and fire engines, ambulances and evacuation buses work through the damage. Destruction scores points, and a quick chain of it builds a combo.

Every natural disaster in one town

Tornadoes: the classic storm, the Firenado, the electric tornado, the Blizzard ice tornado, two funnels that merge (Fujiwhara) and the Final Boss wedge.
Earthquake: a chasm opens in the ground, sometimes with lava and a Lavanado.
Volcano: an eruption out of the earthquake's fissure.
Flood: a dam break sweeps the valley, then drains again.
Meteors, with lava bombs.
Downburst: sinking air that flattens what it hits.
Lightning strikes you aim with a reticle, and an electric storm.
Solar storm: auroras and a blackout street by street.

Nothing to install

The game is a web page built with Three.js and WebGL. Open it on a laptop or a phone, wait for the town to build behind the loading bar, and the first storm is already counting down. On a touch screen the panel opens as a sheet that scrolls, and the driving and tornado modes use one floating joystick.
